Abstract: Taking Down the C-Suite: Targeted Attacks, Controls, and Strategic Discussions
Over the past decade, cybercriminals have migrated their attacks from the business and hardened targets to those where the defenses are low or non-existent – executives in their personal lives. Hackers always follow the path of least resistance and that means attacking your personal email, home, devices, and your family. But there are things your company can do to fight back and protect the corporation. Chris will lead a discussion that focuses on the changing threat matrix for cybersecurity within the company, the holistic protection of executives and Board members as a risk quotient for analysis, and discuss ways to harden those persons and their access both within the company the direct remit of the CISO and externally as well. Protecting the C-Suite has always been a priority for security teams, sometimes a spot of frustration, but can also be a business enabler for successful security outreach done correctly.
